You’ve spent months planning your wedding - carefully choosing your venue, confirming your timeline, booking the florist, and sorting out all the little details that will make the day feel like you. But when the big day finally arrives, who’s the one making sure it all actually runs to plan?
That’s where an On-the-Day Wedding Coordinator comes in - and yes, that could be me.
Think of me as your calm, capable extra set of hands, making sure everything behind the scenes flows smoothly, so you and your loved ones can focus on being fully present. I’ll keep things on track, handle any hiccups that arise, and act as a go-between for your vendors, guests, and wedding party.
Some of the things I can take care of:
Managing the run sheet and keeping the day on time
Coordinating with your photographer, caterer, musician, and venue
Guiding guests to the right place at the right time
Cueing your wedding party and celebrant (even if that’s also me!)
Troubleshooting quietly if anything unexpected pops up
Making sure you’re not the one answering texts, fixing chairs, or hunting for someone’s missing buttonhole
Basically, I help make sure all the planning you’ve done gets honoured, without putting the stress on your parents, friends, or bridal party to make it happen.
Not quite. A Wedding Planner helps you plan the entire event from the beginning - sourcing suppliers, building budgets, managing RSVPs and more. As an On-the-Day Coordinator, I come in closer to the wedding date (often 4–6 weeks out), learn your plans, and then make sure everything runs like clockwork on the day itself.
It’s perfect for couples who’ve planned their wedding themselves but don’t want to run the wedding on the day.
In most cases - yes!
If you’re having a simple or single-location wedding, I can absolutely wear both hats. I’ll officiate your ceremony, then seamlessly step into a coordination role for the rest of the day.
If your wedding is a bit more complex or spread across multiple locations, I might recommend having me coordinate the lead-up and hand over to a trusted assistant for the post-ceremony logistics - but we’ll figure that out together.
I’ve been part of countless weddings where someone’s cousin was trying to herd guests, the maid of honour was holding a timeline in one hand and a bouquet in the other, and the couple was constantly getting interrupted by vendors. It’s no one’s fault - everyone just wants to help. But wouldn’t it be better if someone neutral, experienced, and calm was quietly steering the ship?
That’s what this role is all about. You get to enjoy the day you’ve worked so hard to create.
If you’re planning your own wedding and want to make sure it all comes together smoothly, this could be a perfect fit. You can add On-the-Day Coordination as a standalone service, or as an add-on to my celebrant role.
Get in touch and I’ll let you know how I can help based on your plans and priorities.
